Lots of places like to frame a salaried job as a raise but then you discover that your working OT every week and actually making less per hour than your old position. Just a reminder to value your time stay keen

Congrats!! One of my favorite gigs was working at a private camp in the Adirondacks in the early 2000s. Just me in the kitchen, breakfast lunch and OCCASIONALLY dinner for anywhere from 2 to 25 guests of the owner. Every Sunday was Thanksgiving. Room and board @ $500 a week on the books and $500 cash. It. Was. Glorious.
